Check an iPhone

Open Settings, choose Cellular or Mobile Data, and look for Add eSIM. You can also open Settings › General › About and look for an EID. Most iPhone XS/XR and newer models support eSIM, but regional variants and carrier restrictions can differ.

Check Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel

On Samsung, open Settings › Connections › SIM manager and look for Add eSIM. On Pixel, open Settings › Network & internet › SIMs and look for Add SIM or Set up an eSIM. Some models sold in particular markets omit or disable the feature.

Confirm the phone is unlocked

An unlocked phone can accept plans from another provider. On iPhone, Settings › General › About may show No SIM restrictions next to Carrier Lock. On Android, the clearest confirmation often comes from the carrier that sold the device.

  • Check the exact model number
  • Look for Add eSIM or an EID
