Coverage during your trip
The plans and networks shown below come from the current Flowsus catalog. Service can vary on mountain passes, islands, national parks and long rural routes, so download directions and booking details before leaving a populated area.
Choosing and preparing your plan
Use trip length as a starting point, then account for navigation, social media, video, photo backup and hotspot. Keep your primary SIM for your usual number and verification messages if you need them.
Installation
Install over reliable Wi-Fi before departure when the plan permits it. Confirm that your phone supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked, and keep the QR code or manual details from your order available.
Activation
When you arrive, select the travel eSIM for mobile data and follow the plan's activation instructions. Do not assume every plan starts its validity at the same moment; check the individual details first.
Before you travel
- Confirm eSIM support and carrier-unlock status
- Match allowance and validity to the full route
- Check hotspot support in the individual plan details
- Save hotel, transport and route information offline
Vietnam eSIM questions
How do I choose an eSIM for Vietnam?
Compare the current plans by validity, data allowance, price, network details and hotspot policy. Choose the option that matches the length of your route and how much video, photo backup or tethering you expect.
Does a Vietnam eSIM give me a phone number?
Do not assume that a travel eSIM includes a local number. Check the individual plan details. A data-only plan can still support WhatsApp and other internet messaging apps while your primary SIM handles your usual number and SMS.
Can I install a Vietnam eSIM before travelling?
Often yes when the plan permits it. Install over reliable Wi-Fi, keep the order instructions nearby and follow the plan's stated activation timing after you arrive.
